Who we are
Oppian Lab is run by Oppian Systems Ltd (company number 06782942, England and Wales), which is the data controller. Contact: matt@oppian.com.
What we collect
No email address and no name. For each visit to this page we record the date, the country your connection comes from (as reported by Cloudflare, which hosts this site), the page that sent you here and any campaign tags in the link you followed.
Why
To see how many people visit and where they come from. We keep a daily count per campaign source, and send each visit to PostHog, an analytics service whose servers are in the EU, with a code made from your connection and browser that changes every day and on every site, so nobody can follow you from one day or one site to the next.
Legal basis
Our legitimate interest in knowing which ideas people want. You can object at any time by writing to us.
Where it is kept
The daily counts are stored in the European Union, in a database that our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps there for us. Cloudflare is a US-owned company, so its role as our processor is also covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension and, where those do not apply, by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum.
How long we keep it
Daily visit counts are deleted after 13 months.
Your rights
You can ask about your data, or object to its use, by writing to matt@oppian.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other sites.
